A photo of my tree located outside Holloway Hall. |
The tree I chose is located right outside my dorm, Holloway Hall. I decided to choose this tree because it is located right outside of my door, and I have a great view of it from my room, meaning it will be easily accessible to observe, and can even be done without stepping foot outside. I am not sure what kind of tree it is, but will be sure to look into it. While I don't know what type it is, I am fairly certain that there are many of the same type all over campus, as I have noticed that they look similar to my tree, located all around Holloway Hall and Appian Way. My prediction for this tree is fairly simple. I am predicting that it will bloom with pink buds in the coming weeks, maybe early to mid April, before the tree becomes covered in a beautiful shade of green, filled with a large amount of fresh leaves. Past that, I believe that around the middle of August, the leaves will begin turning orange and brown, and finally around late November, the leaves will begin to fall off, and my tree will look similar to how it does now, which is very bare. This tree reminds me of trees that were planted all over my high school campus, so when I was visiting Keene, I believe the similar trees were what added to the "homey" feeling I felt as I explored the campus. I am very excited to watch this tree in the coming weeks and months!
I can really see your interest in this tree through this post – it seems like you’re really looking forward to watching it grow and seeing every part of that cycle. What resonates the most with me is being able to see this tree without even stepping outside; sometimes I feel like those trees are my favorite because even when you aren’t outdoors, you’re still able to see the beauty of nature and the wildlife that interact with the tree. What is most new to me is that these specific trees are all around campus; sometimes I don’t notice the exact type but it’s cool that you’re going to be able to see this one and so many others grow the same way. The technical component I like the most about this post is the simplicity of it; your title is clear and not too long, you have a picture, and your post seems to be the perfect length. Information you could add would be the type of tree; you could do some research, KSC might even have the information for you.
